The journal is included in the List of Russian peer-reviewed scientific editions, where the main scientific results of Doctor of Sciences (Dr. Sci.) and Candidate of Sciences (Ph. D.) theses on the following scientific specialties (since 01.02.2022) should be published:
5.6.1 Russian History (Historical Sciences);
5.6.2 General History (Historical Sciences);
5.6.5 Historiography, Source Studies and Methods of Historical Research (Historical Sciences);
5.6.7 History of International Relations and Foreign Policy (Historical Sciences).
The journal accepts articles on Historical and Legal Sciences.
The journal carries out the reviewing (scientific double-blind peer-review) of all submitted materials with the view of their expert assessment. The editorial board sends review copies to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation upon request. The journal adheres to the standards of editorial ethics in accordance with international practice of editing, reviewing, publishing and authorship of scientific publications and the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The point of view of the editorial board may not coincide with the point of view of the authors.
The purpose of the publication is the dissemination of scientific knowledge, information support of the achievements of scientists in historical and legal sciences, the enhancement of the authority and influence of the Russian scientific information and scientific publishing segment in the world community.

Publication frequency: 4 issues a year.
Publications are free for full-time postgraduate students
This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution.
