Section: HISTORY
Authors: Lidia Pavlovna Moskvina ; Sergei Konstantinovich Svechnikov ;
The article considers the specific features of the historical research school formed in the early nineties by professor of the Mari State University Xenophont Nikanorovich Sanukov. The concept of the history of the Mari region created by X. N. Sanukov and creatively developed by his students, is based on the following basic principles: 1) it must be given a broad canvas of full and true story in all its diversity, complexity and contradiction; 2) uncompro-misingly negative attitude to any mythologizing of history; 3) departure from Russo-centric conception, understanding of history from the standpoint of people and taking into account the human (civilizational) values; 4) historical knowledge is the basis of national self-consciousness, a historian creates by his work ethnic identity of the people, contributes to the preservation and further development of ethnos, thus he should not follow the xenophobic ideas. The article analyzes the results of the research activities of students of X. N. Sanukov – O. N. Sutyrina, L. P. Moskvina, R. I. Chuzaev, I. F. Yaltaev, E. A. Ozhiganova, N. A. Efi¬mova, S. K. Authors: Tatiana Anatol'evna Petrova ; Marina Sergeevna Mamontova ;
The first issues of targeted training of librarians in the Republic of Mari El appeared in the 1950s. In those days, a major role in training played the cultural and educational school, opened in 1947, and then the cultural and educa-tional college. Cross-cutting challenges over the decades were: low level of qualifications of librarians, their high turnover due to poor financial support. The real possibility to find the way-out of this difficult situation in the sphere of culture was training of personnel through the courses and the seminars organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Mari ASSR. Since 1970 there have been significant changes in the organization of training of library staff. In 1969, in Kazan, a branch of the Leningrad Institute of Culture named after N. K. Krupskaya (the independent Institute from 1974) with the Library faculty was opened. Dozens of graduates of schools and librarians-practitioners got the opportunity to enter the Institute. In the 1970s, social professions departments played their role. These departments gained a lot of positive experience of education diversify trained professionals. New trends in the training of library staff have taken place in the 1990s. The first step in the training of librarians with higher edu-cation was made in 1989. In the Department of Russian language and literature of the Historical and Philological faculty of the Mari State University the corresponding specialization was opened. Since 1998, the specialty “Library science and bibliography” was opened at the Mari State University. The institution began to prepare specialists with the qualification “Librarian-bibliographer” with the specializations “Teacher of World culture”, “Specialist on contemporary scientific and technical information”, “Manager of librarianship”. From 2008 to 2015 150 specialists graduated the part-time form of education. The year 2011 was the transition to two-level system of training “bachelor-master”. In 2016, the first bachelors in the specialty “Library and information activities” got diplomas. Since 2015 admission to full-time training is suspended, but in 2016 the master's program “Theory and methodology of library and information services in condi-tions of the ethno-cultural region” was opened.”
